I've always been passionate about empowering women to take control of their own pleasure, healing, and self-care. But lately, I've been feeling burnt out and disconnected from my own sexual energy.

That's why I've decided to embark on a 6-week jade egg training journey. Guided by the captivating and calming Manjit, I aim to reconnect with my inner self and deepen my practice. This blog will document my highs, lows, and everything in between.

The Opening Ceremony: A Dive into the Unknown

The evening began with an unexpected question from Manjit: "How turned on are you?" I was taken aback. It was a Friday evening, the weight of the week's work and stress still fresh in my mind. The class had started at 7 pm Sydney time, a time when I'd usually be unwinding with a glass of wine or engrossed in a movie. My energy level was around 3-4, not exactly the peak of excitement. But as I pondered over this when reading my notes, I realized that maybe the Sunday sessions would be a better fit for my mindset and energy levels. It's commendable that Manjit offers flexibility in her sessions.

The welcome ceremony was an invitation to dance to "Play that funky music" by Wild Cherry. The thought of dancing on camera was daunting. I've always been self-conscious about my dance moves, even avoiding the dance floor at clubs. But I didn't want to shy away from the experience, so I danced off-camera. Yes, I'm that shy! But the magic happened post-dance. When Manjit checked in on our "turn on" levels, I felt a shift. I was now at a solid 5. It wasn't about being sexually aroused, but more about feeling alive, connected, and present. It's fascinating how a simple act can shift our energy.

Manjit's training with Layla Martin and her expertise in the Vita Coaching method shone through as she introduced us to the jade egg practice. She delved deep into its history, its emotional and spiritual significance, and its modern-day benefits:

  • Being in tuned with your body natural states 
  • Having healthy and vibrant sexuality, pelvic floor and organs 
  • Using sexuality to duel the entire body 

Manjit has seen over and over that women heal:

How to prepare your jade egg

The Jade Egg is not just a tool; it's a sacred instrument that requires proper care and preparation. Here's a detailed guide on how to prepare it for use;

After purchasing yoni egg;

Boiling the Egg: Begin by boiling the jade egg. Place it in a pot of water and ensure the temperature reaches 100 degrees Celsius. Let it boil for a solid 10 minutes. This process ensures that any impurities or bacteria on the egg's surface are eliminated.

Handling with Care: After boiling, use a spoon to carefully remove the egg from the water. It's essential to remember that the egg will be extremely hot, so avoid direct contact with your skin to prevent burns.

Drying and Inspection: Place the egg in a safe spot, to let it dry naturally. As it dries, take a moment to inspect the egg thoroughly. Ensure there are no visible cracks or imperfections on its surface. This step is crucial for your safety and to ensure the effectiveness of the practice.

Post-Practice Care

After each use, cleanse the egg with warm water. For an added layer of energy cleansing, you can place the egg under direct sunlight or the glow of a full moon. This not only purifies the egg but also recharges its natural energies.

This exercise was not just about listing desires; it was about connecting with our innermost aspirations and setting a clear path for the transformative weeks to come

  • I yearn for a deeper connection with my inner self, to discover that tranquil space within where I can find my true essence and inner peace.
  • I aspire to attune myself to the whispers of my body, understanding its unique language of needs, desires, and signals, guiding me towards holistic well-being.

What do I want to cultivate in my sexuality?

I want to embrace the confidence to delve into the world of tantra, exploring its depths and discovering the treasures it holds for my intimate self.

During my practice, what do I aim to foster?

  • I hope to cultivate a deep sense of self-compassion, allowing myself the grace to be imperfect and to grow.
  • I envision creating a sanctuary within, a space where I can listen, reflect, and understand my deepest emotions and thoughts.

In my spiritual journey, what do I wish to manifest?

  • I seek a spiritual awakening that aligns my soul, mind, and body, guiding me towards a path of enlightenment and self-discovery.

Physically, over the next 6 weeks and beyond, what do I aspire to achieve?

  • I want to embrace the belief that I am enough, just as I am, deserving of love, respect, and happiness.
  • I aim to open my heart to the possibility of love, allowing myself to be vulnerable, to connect, and to experience the joy of companionship.
  • I wish to infuse more moments of joy and spontaneity into my life, granting myself the permission to let loose and revel in the simple pleasures without any guilt.

In the realm of love, what do I hope to manifest over the next 6 weeks?

  • I want to dismantle the barriers I've built around my heart, questioning the fears and apprehensions that have held me back.
  • Why have I been so guarded? What fears have kept my heart's doors closed?
  • I am ready to embark on the quest for true love, to find that soulmate with whom I can share life's tapestry.

  • The invigorating aroma of the beach, the comforting warmth of sunlight, and the refreshing embrace of the open air.

  • The infectious sound of laughter, the comforting hum of contented smiles, and the rhythmic dance of waves kissing the shore.

  • It feels like liberation, a weightlessness that comes from shedding past burdens and soaring freely.

The Heart of the Practice

Manjit emphasized the importance of documenting our intentions, suggesting that revisiting them at the conclusion of our 6-week journey would offer a moment of introspection and reflection.

We were encouraged to dig deep and share our personal revelations and insights with the group. While many opened up about their experiences, I found myself holding back, choosing instead to listen intently to the stories of others.

The following day, as I was driving, a familiar scent wafted through my car — the aroma from my car deodorizer. It struck me that this was the very essence I had identified the previous night, a fragrance reminiscent of 'coastal drift'. A rush of understanding flowed through me. My affinity for the scent of the beach, the sun's embrace, and the liberating sensation of swimming became clear. This aroma had the power to instantly transport me to a state of relaxation and tranquility.

As I penned down these intentions, a profound realization washed over me. The weight of my professional endeavors, combined with the relentless pace of life, has left me on the brink of burnout. The joy and passion that once fueled my days seem distant. It's evident that I need to prioritize self-care, but the path forward remains uncertain. Do I need to reconsider the trajectory of my business to find my happiness again?

The Physical and Emotional Baseline

Period: I've finally reached the end of my cycle, and it feels liberating.
